This is the first part of the Induction Programme and is an electronic component, to be completed at home* before attending the face to-face-session using a computer or tablet with access to the internet. This part is called the ‘e-induction’ and will take approximately two hours to complete using a computer or tablet with access to the internet. It does not need to be completed in one go – there is an option to pause, take a break, and then to pick up again where you left off. However, you will need to complete the whole package to be compliant.
You will receive an email from DOT (Direct Online Training) with a username and password – you will be required to change/personalise the password. The link to the training is below:
If possible you should complete the e-induction at least 24 hours before your face to face induction session. We will receive notification via email when you have completed it.
*We have computers in the Voluntary Services office and elsewhere in the hospital if you would prefer to complete the e-induction on site. Your local library will also have computers connected to the internet available for you to use free of charge. If you have any questions or concerns regarding access to a suitable computer please contact us (details above).
The Welcome to Volunteering induction gives you an opportunity to meet other new volunteer starters. Led by the Learning & Development team, it is an interactive session with presentations, videos and group discussions. The four hour session includes:
